Don't forget your POP! (FB transfer from July 16, 2010)

I remember the first time I went into my online banking account. I noticed "POS" before the entries. I thought, what is THAT? I quickly learned that it stood for "point of service", which meant the point of purchase, or the store I had purchased my merchandise in. This came back to my memory this morning while listening to the "Glory to glory" transformation series by Bill Johnson on podcast.

I thought, we should never forget our "POP", point of purchase. Our point of purchase was Calvary, the cross where Jesus gave his body and shed His blood to purchase us, to pay for all of our sins in full, past, present and future and to secure all of the things we could ever need, and all of the destiny He ever intended for us. This has to be our anchor. We are on the other side of the cross, but even on this side, if we stray too far from our POP, we get enamored with ourselves, impressed with ourselves, we get infatuated with gifts and favor and that shuts down the glory to glory that we are meant to operate in. Be infatuated with and focus on Jesus and see yourself becoming more like Him, because 1John 4:17 says, "...as He is, also are we in this world.

Jesus already paved the way, the track has been laid and is well in place. We just need to get on the train. On a train there are no right or left turns to be made, just full steam ahead! We have only one destination, and that is to fully and accurately re-present Jesus on earth!

Hebrews 6:19-20a says:
This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil, where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us...

Righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit!
Teresa
